Biography

Dr. Lacia Chapman is a board certified Family Medicine Physician with over 10 years of experience in primary care. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN and completed her Family Medicine residency at Dewitt Army Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA. She was a United States Army Major and served as Officer in Charge of a Combat Medical Clinic within in a Combat Support Hospital during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Iraqi New Dawn, and later served as a Flight Surgeon before she completed her military service. Dr. Chapman sees patients for general preventative care and manages complex medical issues such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, congestive heart failure and anxiety/depression. Her areas of clinical expertise include women’s health, sports medicine including joint injections, and dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Virginia Academy of Family Physicians.
